Scope(Contact Province for precise definition by provincial law)
Chiropractic care includes the examination (may include diagnostic imaging), diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of the spinal column, pelvis, extremities and associated tissues without the use of drugs or surgery. Treatment is administered principally by hand (primary manipulation as well as, but not limited to, soft tissue therapy) and when necessary, therapeutic modalities (such as muscle stimulation and ultrasound). Chiropractors may also utilize nutritional advice, lifestyle modifications, exercise prescription and ergonomic recommendations. The range of diagnostic and therapeutic services offered by Chiropractic is dynamic and will be modified by education, research, technological change and society’s evolving health care needs.
