ALABAMA STATE BOARD OF CHIROPRACTIC EXAMINERS
The Federation does not provide interpretation of the scope of practice laws or rules of any chiropractic licensing authority, nor can we provide specific details regarding licensing requirements. The educational and testing requirements for each State or Province set forth in this Directory are intended as a general guide. It is strongly recommended that anyone interested in becoming licensed in a particular State or Province contact the Board office or the Secretary of the respective board to secure current and complete details before matriculating in any school.
Scope
May examine, analyze and diagnose the human body and its diseases by the use of any physical, clinical, thermal, or radonic method, and the use of X-ray diagnosing, and may use other general methods of examination for diagnosis and analysis taught in any school of chiropractic recognized by this board. May recommend the use of food and concentrates, food extracts, and may apply first aid. Chiropractors are expressly prohibited from prescribing or administering any drugs included in materia medica, except as herein provided, from performing obstetrics, or from giving treatments involving the use of radioactive materials.
